Mark Hatton is currently an Account Manager at SLW Strategies, where he supports clients on political, organizing and communications strategy. He most recently served as the Director of Electoral Engagement at the Alliance for Youth Action, where he was responsible for developing and enhancing electoral and advocacy programming nationwide. Hatton is a dedicated youth organizer, whose passion for young people and their ability to create political change drives him every day. Previously, he served as the Campaign Manager for Postsecondary Education Policy at the Center for American Progress. During the 2016 Presidential Election, Hatton served as the Florida Millennial Coalition Director, where he led youth engagement and mobilization, including managing twenty-five campus-based organizers statewide. He had previously served as the Political and Youth Engagement coordinator at the DSCC in 2015 and 2016. Hatton has served in various capacities on political and advocacy campaigns including organizing, fundraising, coalition and political engagement, scheduling and operations. He worked on Natatlie Tennant’s 2014 US Senate race in West Virginia, on the National Urban League’s “Occupy the Vote” program in Ohio in 2012 and on Gloria Romero Roses ‘2012 race for US House in FL-26. Hatton holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Florida.
